Uni daze

Sigh. I can't believe what a day it has been. I'm just feeling sooooo tired when it's not even my 11-6pm uni day. haha. Wednesday will be interesting. 3 lectures. 6 hours. Anyways...

First! weather's getting a lil chilly and I can't wear my summery clothes anymore! Everywhere I go, I gotta carry a jumper. Boo. Second! I still can't believe I'm finally spending 40minutes with the car and traffic just to get to uni. Trust me, this is when I become impatient and end up being aggressive while driving and change lanes like 20times. haha. (It took me a 3-minutes drive to high school before). THIRDLY! BECAUSE I AM SUCH A CONSCIENTIOUS STUDENT, I TURNED UP FOR MY TUTORIAL AT 10AM!!! (i had to wake up at 830am cuz it takes longer for me to get ready now. haha. I kinda miss wearing a school uniform) Yes... tutorial only starts on second week. My bro told me that BUT! because my friend said its better to turn up for the tutorial just in case and when I told Cj I don't know if I should go for it.. he said "Yeahh.. just go". Thanks guys!! So, I spent an hour in the library checkin out if there's any hot chicks and dudes... but didn't manage to catch any. Chances are they wouldn't frequent of all places... a library hey? hahaha.

THEN! I proceeded to my next stop. Statistics practical at 11am. I knew something was wrong when the room looked empty. You're thinkin what I was thinkin at that time? Oh yeah? yeahhh.... IT DOESNT START TIL 2ND WEEK! What I can't possibly comprehend is why on earth would NO ONE tell any 1st-yr uni students this during our enrolment?! WHY WHY WHYYYYYYY?????!!!!! Stupid macquarie uni. SUCKS. I want a transfer to Sydney uni now. haha. Just kiddin. Yesss... I've made a new friend today :) and we hung out with Cj for few hours before my lecuture started at 2pm.

Oh, by the way, Statistics lecture was GNIROB!!!!! (if you're wondering what kinda word it is, spell it backwards. hee) You know somethin, I reckon I can be a lecturer as well cuz the real lecturer just read from her powerpoint presentation for the full 2 hours, which is the exact copy of the course notes we had to buy for 50bucks. URGH. Yeap!!!... this is no doubt a potential type of lecture to skip whenever needed. haha.

Alright... I'll stop whinging. :) Ooooo.. backtrack a lil! Last Saturday: Jaz's 18th party! It was cool cuz I finally got to see Sarah and catch up with her after like a kazillion yearssss! haha. A couple of interesting stuff happened. Pretty funny. ha. Don't feel like going into detail though. :) I've got a free day tomorrow! Woopeedooooooo!

Buy buy buy!

Yeap... I went shopping again. Got two really cool blouses and that book. All up another 100bucks gAWWWNN! I am in need of a therapy.. about self-control when it comes to shopping and the right balance between my wants and needs? haha.

Anyways, that book looked cool (never heard of this author before though!) and I felt like this week I'm in the mood for some girly reading (the typical new-found romance amidst the hectic yet lonely life or just plainly finding love somehow!haha. oh golly.) so I figured might as well get it since it was on a sale. :) Original price- $30. Discounted price- $19.45. Uh.. what a bargain? hahahaa. I'm a sucker when it comes to discounts or the "Buy 3 pay for 2" (That 5 words cost me to spend $300 and later, I regretted. Yeah I know, I deserve it. GAWSH! Get a grip, Lena! ha.) It's such a stupid marketing ploy but I always fall for it. Sigh. And yess.. this is what I was up to today.

Tomorrow... it's babysitting my nephew the whole day. That SUCKS to the core. I can't stand kids (esp those who require my attention for more than 20mins). I just can't. And yet, I'm always put into a situation where I HAVE TO deal with it. IRONIC. AND!! to dig right into my conscience is my mum's constant use of the oh-so-famous obligation phrase "Love, her mum provided accomodation for you and don't you remember the many nice meals you had with her during your stay in Singapore?" Sigh.

Thursday- Macquarie bbq organised by the Christian Union? And its held at the gym... How bizzare! 12noon til whenever.
Friday- Orientation day at Macquarie AGAIN. 9am-2pm. I'm so gonna sneak out after 3 hours max and go shopping and lunch or somethin. hee. :)

Man, I'm getting so sick of driving to Macquarie. I've been there twice last week. Will be 3 times this week. AND I HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED UNI YET. Oh golly. Looks like I really won't have time to fully update on my Sinapore trip. :( Nooooooo.... I wana talk bout the holland dude! haha. I promise I will! It's just a matter of time. :) Til then... wait patiently. Being patient is a pretty impressive characteristic to possess I believe? haha. Laterrrrrr!

Risk it!

So.... I've finally beaten Eldora to posting up peeks from today before she had a chance to!! WOO HOOOO! hee hee hee. And man, I had so much trouble just simply from doin collages to posting it here using Picasa2. All thanks to Kim for her patience with me- the computer illiterate! haha. Love youuuu! :)

Anywho... Today marked the official day of joining blue sky with the adults in church. I feel old now. No more digjc. :( I miss the digjc worship team!!! Sighh.. What good times. After service, we decided to head to Oon's house for the arvo. What started out as cooking lunch gradually continued onto playing '500'- a card game which I never knew then. BUT! As u can see in those pics, those guys sure look like they're like full-on pros at it! I just watched them play..Then! came the poker game. Ok, I was intrigued by that alright. haha. (Fine, I've never played card games before except a card game played during CNY called "bun luck"- it's SO pronounced that way! Anyway, funny thing is, their bets were not on money but on the number of slaps on your arm (slaps- using yr 2nd & 3rd finger and hit it right down. It's painful man!) We got so into that game til the guys' arms were pretty red!! haha. Then, came the '500' again. This time, they taught me patiently and the next thing I know, "You're ready now, Lena. Let's play". haha. Hmmm... why not eh?

Ok... I'll side-track a lil now. Wanted to show you this cool picture of Uncle Kenneth and Eldora! haha. Looks like he's teaching Eldora well on playing '500'! haha. Just jokes. I'm sure he was just intrigued by the game... just like me before. HAHAHAHA. What a candid shot though. hee.

EHHHH! Wait a sec!! I know what y'all are thinkin! What's wrong with playing '500' and poker and a lil mahjong huh?! You got a problem, bro? (now is the time to look at that pic on extreme top left). haha! Anyways, weather was great! time for a dip in the pool, they all reckon. But... not for me! I didn't bring swimmers. :( So.. I decided to do somethin constructive or is it? haha. I was trolleying the laundry basket around the pool area constantly saying this in a high-pitched tone, "Excoose meee, -inserts any words that sound french/german?-" haha. Btw, don't you think those 4 people standing at the pool look like they've got somethin up their sleeves?! Indeed they had! Awww... poor mini!!! Guess its time for YOU to get dunked!

Well…. It took quite a bit of a struggle to get you into that pool!! But I can understand. I mean… dude, your nice white shirt and jeans…. they’re all soaked! And… not forgetting those tiny socks of yours! Hahaha! But! What I totally cannot comprehend is WHY ON EARTH WOULD ALL OF EM TEAM UP AGAINST ME?! I was in my nice blouse and I honestly didn't want to get dunked. Thought I try using the scary excuse of "If you guys get me wet, my parents would kill me!" It didn't work. They all threw me in. Sigh. Btw, I DIDN'T HAVE MY SWIMMERS ON. And, funny thing is, I don't have any pics of that cuz THEY WERE ALL busy ganging up against me. Oh golly. I still love you all and yes Mike, the water was nice. haha. oh oh oh! One last thing... sorry Uel! We made you skip your tuition! haha. I mean, as you said, "What you reap is what you sow"! hahahhaha! Now, YOU know how it feels like to get your dry clothes soakin wet! That was simply classic!! :)
After all... guess it's all bout riskin it eh! Be it playin '500' or poker (HUGE risks and drama skills!) or mahjong or gettin dunked? haha. What a nice weekend I've truly had. :) You guys rawk! So um.... fishing next week anyone? HEE HEE HEE.

Take a peek

I miss you girls!!!! I finally uploaded the singapore peeks into the comp! Boy, I'm good! haha. Saw this picture and thought I'll just show you a glimpse of what went on during my hols! I've got bout 100 odd pics I took in S'pore and man, I just don't know when I'll ever upload it all into my photobucket album. Oh well. I guess soon? haha. :)

Anyways, last night was fun! Thanks heaps Eldora for letting us hang out at your house and organising that short trip to the park at 1130pm! :) haha. What a classic!!- three cars, with perhaps only Jul's car whose windows were down and music pumpin away, just coming right up next to a parked small car with two guys in it and their seats reclined all the way down! Mike managed to notice that cuz we were in Jul's car- a Honda CRV which happens to be a pretty high car. :) Oh golly. haha. We have no idea what they were up to because it was pretty dark there and I doubt anyone of us wanted to know anyway. Ok... maybe we did a lil. Fine! Maybe it's just Mike, Oonis and I. haha!! (Go to Eldora's blog to see pics and more details! :)) You see, you can't blame me for not wanting to tell more bout last night because Eldora has beaten me to that. haha. So... why bother say it again when you could just click on her blog and read it there? It's good logic isn't it? Yeahhh... I know! What a night!! I ended up reaching home close to 1am... because of MARVIN!! I so had to take a detour! hahaha. Nah, it's all good. :)

That frenzy moment

Actually... "moment" wouldn't define the 5 crazy days I just had. So... honestly, I'm excused from not updating my already algae-fertilised blog? haha. Well.... oonis wants me to tell all you people that she said "this blog is mouldy. like your face" yeahhhhh....hmm. I still think your cool, oon! really! hahaha!

Anyways... it all started the moment I arrived in Sydney airport last thursday after the antagonizing 7 and a half hours on GF149. Honestly, Those people from Bahrain... the Bahranians? They are hillarious in an annoying way. But it kept me amused. So all's good. Next stop: home. Thought I could just dash straight to my room and make love to my bed all night. But nooooooo.... I had to sort out my STUPID uni timetable for first AND second semester!! farout!! and get myself enrolled at 10am the next morning. Slept at 4am. Woke up at 9am. Took FIVE FRIGGEN HOURS to sort out my whole enrolment. This time, I dare say it's entirely the incompetency of the uni which resulted in this! haha. Don't take my word for it though. I COULD be biased. :) Then... the drama began after my bro, alaine and i picked my parents up from the airport. (They were in Cairns just in case you guys didn't know. My dad works there.) Sigh... that was bad. REAL bad. And, the crazy thing is.. there's still that subtle hostility at home even right up til now. Although it didn't concern me, I just feel uncomfortable, upset and angry. I just can't seem to get over it cuz I feel for my parents. sigh. It's always at the back of my mind. Urgh.

Ok... happy thoughts, lena. Happy thoughts. Anyways.. all I can say its been a crazy week for me. I haven't got a day where I could stay home and just relax. And its only 1 week til uni starts!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! But yeahh... that weekend was crazy too cuz of spending time with relatives making up for our absence during CNY. Then, there was dragon boat racing on Sunday at Darling Harbour! haah. That was fun watching! I realised I've never watched that kinda race before. (Go to Eldora's blog for peekatures and details of that day) I forgot what I did on monday but it was just another busy day for me, no doubt bout that I'm sure! And then... there was tuesday. :) An interesting v-day I had for a long time. (Go to Kim blog for the peekatures and details). haha. Can you tell I' m just so lazy to tell more? haha. You can't blame me honestly! I had such a long day today its not funny anymore. Babysitting my nephew for the WHOLE AFTERNOON! Honestly... what can be worst than that? It's like literally drowning myself with saltwater? or pee? haha. And an hour later, I and I mean I, Lena Poon, drove to the airport to pick my dad up! without the presence of my bro and alaine. Yeah... I'm just flat out now. Ok, I hear my bed screaming my name. It needs me desperately. What can I say? :) Guess I'll stop here for now.

p.s If you think this was a long post... it's just the beginning! I'm gona tell in more detail bout a couple of events in a few days time. AND! That is when the reason behind the whole holland dude hoo-ha comes in. :) Til then... have a great weekend!

hey lena fans! i'm back from my long, long voyage in singapore. muahaha.. oh that holland dude was so hot. *sigh* oh well... back to reality now. my lovely valentines eldora eunice and kim graced me with their company at macquarie. we watched CASANOVA! pretty lame excuse for a movie but STILL it was fun.

well actually we don't reeaaally love each other we just wanted an excuse to hang out. HAHA. hehe no we really do. i love you kim! xxx

thanks for your chocolates uel! we're so cut that you didn't get us flowers though. i mean, we're special too right? *sniff* hahahahhah no we're just kidding. we're happy for you. hehehe..
