1, 2, 3 Smileee

Here are some collages from Kim's 18th mexican partayy!! Great people and ambience, pretty interesting food but awesome cake!!! hee hee. I was DEAD TIRED by the time I reached home that night. Woke up at 9am that morning and drifted off to lala land at 130am. Unfortunately, I cbb to take more pics at Mon's 21st. Most probably too drunk to take any... ahhhh JUST KIDDIN alright!!

Once upon a time, there was a b'day girl (with fairy wings) and her friends who gathered at a mexican resturant. They were smiling ever so graciously for the cameras as they felt honored to be involved on that special day......

<---p.s I caught you on camera, mike! hee hee.

THEN...! They got into the mood for some mexican lovin'... hence the mexican-hat poses!

From a distance away, the most deafening sound a whistle could ever produce was heard amidst the loud chattering.... The ice-cream birthday cake (it was yummy-licious!) has arrived! Blow those candles! Group photo! Snap snap!

<----- more snap snaps! Posers!! They were simply lovin' itt!!

<----Middle pic: My masterpiece (everyone had to make a card at the party. Can't u just tell I always get an "E" for artwork and maybe +1 for creativity all thru primary school?!) for kimmay!

Hmmm. Tasting (not eating becuz the cups were sooo tiny) vodka jelly at Mon's 21st was interesting. I've never had that before! Sooo coool... But! Having it with sheryl and jacq was pretty hillarious. We were standing at a corner, trying to be discreet, taking the tiny cup saying, "Cheers!" then took another and another and another. hahahaa.....

Caught in a frenzie

I'm starting to get so sick of the word "quiz". On Monday, I've got a econ random presentation to prepare for- 5%. Wednesday, I've got a psychology quiz- 10%. I've got 2 Stats quizzes per week to complete. The week after, I've got marketing quiz-10% and a Stats assignment due-10%. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I skipped my 2 hr marketing lecture yesterday. I overheard what the dudes behind me were saying, "Yeah.. this lecture is pretty much self-explanatory. You can just read over the notes in your own time". I tell ya, that statement was so convincing that I caught the bait and before I knew it, I was driving home. haha. I saw it comin though. :)

I woke up late today. Overslept for 45minutes. :( I honestly thought I pressed the "snooze" button NOT the "off" button. Sighh.. But I realised something that I never thought I could've done otherwise. I GOT READY IN 15MINUTES GUYSSSSSS!!!!!! woopee doodle doo!!!!! Isn't that cool?! I was stoked! haha. Made my first grand enterance into tutorial class and this is only the 2nd week! What can I say.... hahahahaaa

Lesson 101: Always find those more mature asian students when you have group work especially in Statistics classes!! I did that! And man... it makes all the difference. Well, although occassionally, I dont' really understand their english.... it's just... really weird. Oh well. :) China students rawwwkkk! They're so smart it makes me wana squat down in a pothole (i can't hide in a pothole can i?) and close my eyes...? hahaah I'm soooo weird.

It's gona be my first time playing keys for Blue Sky tomorrow! Funnnnn....

I'm SO VERY pumped for saturday! 2 partiessss!! 2 different outfitsss!! 1130am-11pm!!! When Saturday comes, I bet I'll be thinking man, I could've done some quality revision for psych or econ and eventually feel guilty for partying hard.

A thought: Partying vs studying.... Hmmm.....OF COURSE PARTYING!!!! It's a good balance :)

silverscreeeeeen!

Today was HOT! I was not happy sitting in that stupid theatre. This is the second week that the air-conditioning is not working. Every 5-10mins, an average of 5 people walks outa the lecture. Sigh. SO SO SO tempted to do the same. I was suffocating in there to a point where I gradually developed a headache! haha. Temperature outside was I reckon a good 35 degrees. But because I am a conscientious student... I stayed for the 2 full, antagonizing hours!!! Boy, I'm good! haha.

Had lunch at Chantilly's today. I loveeee their Ice coffee! Yuummmm. I'm gettin addicted to coffee. Sigh. I can't help it... uni is tiring me out so much!

Can I say watching a movie in silverscreen IS FANTASTIC!!!!! Man... the cinema was totally empty and the seats.... THE SEATSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! they are dee bomb! Huge reclined seats that are incredibly comfortable! And... I only paid 8bucks for the ticket!!! haha. That is one great incentive for studying at Macquarie Uni I reckon!!!! Oh! Thanks to Jono and Julz for the great company! You guys rawwwwkk! :) Go the maq students!!! ahhhh.. I'm actually contemplating on going to silverscreen every Monday now (cuz that's when they have the special offer of a free upgrade to silverscreen). haha. It's honestly a great way to de-stress after uni! hee. I'm missing those seats already... ahhhhhhhhh...!!!

Random thought 1: One thing cool bout uni life is that there's more flexibility- I get to hang out more with anyone anytime of the day, even til late evenings. Hmmm... or maybe my mum's just finally giving me more space. :) P.s I drove by myself to meet with Kev, Josh and matt to play handball in the night at Epping Boys High School! hahaha. That was cool. My right hand was pretty sore. Poor matt! Could barely see his knuckles- they were SO swollen and red. Pretty freaky. (But he so asked for it by using his backhand to hit the ball!) Reached home at 1145pm. Mum wasn't too impressed though. haha.

Random thought 2: Almost all of my mum's friends said that I've lost quite some weight. haha. Pretty interesting. I feel like I have but I didn't think it was that noticeable! My mum's nagging at me now like everyday saying, "Aiyoh! You are getting very skinny ah! Look at your face! You better eat more I tell you." hahahaha. Oh golly. I just don't feel hungry as often as I did in high school. Bizzare. I know. I tell you..... its all because of uni!!!! It's stressing me outttt!

Ok! Time to attempt my weekly statistics quizzes online... and economics in a couple of days time. Funny thing is... all these quizzes add up to like 10% of my final grade for the semester and these quizzes take up quite abit of my time. ANNOYINGGGG. Outa here!

bad day

Edit @ 439pm
Guess what! Few minutes after I put up this post last night.. I went into the kitchen. Walked around. Somethin annoying was under the sole of my left foot. Tried to get it away by rubbing it onto the top of my right foot. Next thing I know, I happened to look at the floor and I saw red smudges. Thought it was ketchup initially cuz it was smeared around the floor yeah. Then, somehow I caught a glance at my foot and saw a pretty nasty cut on it. Blood was oozing out. How bizzare. Then.. the pain kicked in. Felt sharp then sore. It was bearable though... or maybe not? I was just so tired last night that I didn't have the strength to make a scene (which I usually would). Maybe I do have a pretty high pain threshold... Hmmm. Fine. Let's just say average. haha.

Yeah... it's another one of those days where nothin seems to be goin right.

This morning: It was a real challenge getting out of bed on a monday at 845am when the main reason behind that was to beat peak hour traffic and NOT because I was late for my class or somethin. But honestly, the traffic today seemed worse than last week I reckon. Or maybe it's JUST PLAIN ATROCIOUS EVERY DAY. Finally made it to uni in one piece, both the car and myself. haha. (You know, everytime the moment I get into the car, I say a quick prayer cuz I desperately need God's protection 24/7 esp when I'm quite a disaster when it comes to driving).
So... I was pumped to go for econ tutorial cuz finally, I get the opportunity to know more people. (Smaller groups make it so much easier!) And AGAIN!!!!!!!! AGAINNNNNNN!!!!!!! Econ tutorial was not on. It apparently starts on the 3rd week. Boo. Double boo. Triple BOOOOO!!! So yeah, I woke up early again for NOTHIN.

Later in the morning: Statistics prac was next. It was a rather interesting lesson. Actually, my bad. Not lesson. More like.. a DIY time. The dude (I don't call him a teacher cuz i reckon he rather us treat him as a helper) says, "If you noticed, I do not have the roll. That means these prac lessons are not compulsory to attend. Basically, you already have the notes that you need to help you through everything. But I'll be here on mondays from 10-12noon to answer any of your questions and help you through it." Wow... that's amazing innit? haha. I get another hour off to go shopping. All up, 3 hours of my-time. (my-time= time I spend by myself.haha)

Afternoon: I spent lunch with Sarah Cruz, (her last name is so nice eh!) my new friend! yay! We talked and talked and forgot to keep track of time. Next thing I know, we were semi-walkin, semi-running back to uni. Well, we did run a lil in the beginning but slowed down gradually cuz uh, we don't do any sports? haha. Go figure. We were sweating and panting (weather today was pure-psycho-ness! It was freezing in the morning! it reached 33 degrees by arvo) AND THE UNTHINKABLE happened....... 3/4 of the sole of my favourite "jesus-sandals" came off!!!!! :( :(
:( :( and the last few metres walking towards the lecture hall seemed like eternity. Yes, we were late. Duh... I had so much trouble walking back to my car as well. :( :( :(

By the time I reached home, I had a headache, was feeling faint, upset and SO worn out. Oh boy, what a day. But!! I'm still alive and healthy, while the roof I'm living under has not blown away or collapsed or caught fire yet and my parents rawk! haha. (And yes, my dad's so hot, Mike! hahaha) God is good. All the time. :)

feelin gay?

It's Marrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrdi Graaaaaaaaaaaaas festival today! Definitely not a good idea to go down to the city. Firstly, driving down would result in a never-ending traffic. Secondly, I'm not a supporter of homosexuals. (But I have to say, I really admire their determination in wanting to earn a recognition in society. Well, they've succeeded a lil'. Trust me, Mr John Howard would never make homosexual marriages legal in Sydney). Thirdly, I've heard stories of people getting harrassed while attending the festival. And! It always seems to be one body part that they target- your ass! Guess its the easiest way of harrassing someone and getting away with it. hahahaha!!!! oh golly.

Anywayssss... uni life pretty much suck. It's boring and I've got long hours. 16 contact hours per week. Stupid psychology and statistics pracs... URGH. Well.. I guess I can only say this is what I get for
1) being lazy. (hence cramping it all into 3 HECTIC days of uni per week)
2) being kiasu (I just feel so Singaporean once again. haha) and choosing to major into marketing AND organisational behaviour. Nah, but honestly, this will give me an option to do either marketing, advertising, public relations or human resource when I start working. Knowing me, I really need to keep my options open as much as possible cuz the next thing you know, you'll hear me say "Oh, I realised I'm not into marketing anymore. I want to be a barristor and fight for justice for all mankind" or somethin along that line... hahahahahaha!!!! I pray and sincerely hope I won't have such a drastic change of mindset. haaaaa!!!!

Oh mann... one thing I haven't got used to in uni is how on earth do lecturers manage to cover 12 chapters of the textbook a week!!! For just macroeconomics, the lecturer has apparently taught up to chapter 12!!!!! And it's uh, the first week of uni so far. sigh. Anyways, regardless of how much studying I definitely have to catch up with (I've done a total of 5hours study only for econ but I still have another 4 chapters to catch up on!! :( Urgh), it all still comes back to the infamous phrase I use: Always have a right balance of play and work! hee. I've got a 21st birthday party to go tonight!!!! and another 21st in two weeks time!!!! woo hoo! Funnnn.... vodka here I come! haha. Just kiddin! I'm SOOOOOOOOO late!! I'm outa here!

oh! By the way, I just feel like the mood around Sydney is so gay-ish today! Not solely because it's mardi gras... hahahaha. Just kiddin! But gay-ish as in bright! jovial! light-hearted! merry! haha. yeahh.. it's been a good day so far. :) And yessss.... I've finally uploaded some pics after my never-ending procrastination! BUT! I'm not done with all of it yet... sOON It'll all be up!!!! Til then..... just hang in there yeah? Cheers!
