friday blues
The Question: Is there even such a thing as friday blues? I mean if there are monday blues, can't there be tuesday blues and other consecutive day blues? The day: But yeahh.. it was a lazy day for me. Bummed at home the entire day. Set my alarm at 1030am. Pressed the snooze button. 5 minutes later, I switch off the alarm for good. I had a valid reason though. It was raining and I just love the sound of raindrops on my pergola so much to the extent where I forced myself to sleep for another hour just to enjoy that! haha. I know I'm a sad, sad girl. So yesss... I skipped breakfast again as usual. Couldn't be bothered to cook cuz I'm just too lazy. Had pumpkin soup and garlic bread for lunch. That works for me just fine surprisingly. I might consider having that for lunch more often. It's a cheap, convenient, easy and quick way of preparing my lunch! haha. I dry-mopped the floor, vacuum my room and my parents room, and finally managed to do the laundry. The whinge: But sad thing is, somehow I still have some more clothes in the laundry basket that is waiting for me to handle with. Annoying!!!! And I can't do the remaining laundry because of the stupid weather this whole week and my bro and Alaine's clothes that are also waiting to be dried (This affects me because I need those hangers and the storage space to hang my damp clothes!!) Yesss... I know I could always tumble-dry it! But! It might really crumple my clothes and who knows, it might even expand or tear those precious, delicate blouses of mine! And honestly, nothin beats the smell of real sunshine on clothes which also makes it so crisp somehow! hahaha. The pros and cons: Ok! enough of my whinging bout the domestic chores I've been up to! haha. Bet you guys are gettin so sick of my household stories!! Man.... I realised I have a love-hate relationship with rainy days! hahahaa. I love it because it just makes me wana snuggle under my quilt and read a novel or watch a dvd or just simply laze around. Especially when I'm at home and knowing that it's raining outside, I like that feeling of being secured and safe because I've got a roof to live under. I know that seems kinda weird! haha. Oh well! BUT! the annoying pests that appears whenever it rains, just makes me SO VERY annoyed of rainy days. Well, let's see what happened. Just 2 hours ago, I realised I haven't collected the clothes I hung outside today, hoping that it would dry a lil. Brought the clothes into the house, but before I stepped in, I realised there was a pretty big snail just few steps away from me. I screamed yet again. Quickly closed the door behind me. An hour ago, a slug was discovered chillin out in the hall. Twenty minutes ago, another slug was found lurking behind the kitchen counter. Just 3 minutes ago or so, Alaine screamed again, "Darling! There's another slug here again! Come and hurry catch and flush down the toilet bowl. Eh, do you think we should use a candle and burn it or use candle wax to kill it too?" OH GOLLY. I HATE SLUGS AND SNAILS AND ALL INSECTS THAT CRAWL. THEY MAKE ME SICK! DIE all you pests.... DIE!!!!!! ahhhhhhhh!!!!! *runs away and seeks refuge under my good ol' queen-sized quilt* Oh yeahh...Have an awesome weekend cuz I certainly will!! DFO shopping at Homebush Bay tomorrow (YESSS!! I NEVER get sick of shoppin! Honestly, who does?! Certainly not meee!!) and playing keys at digjc for the very last time on sunday. Sighhh... mixed feelings yet once again. p.s I promise I will upload pictures soon. Reeeeally soon. :) Patience is a virtue!
Chill, mista, chill!
Can I say that those car drivers... actually motorists as well... oh! and also pedestrians, particularly those in the city are possessed or something! (I do not wish to describe them as being aggressive cuz being possessed sounds so much better! ha) They are always in a hurry to get somewhere and they just cut into one lane and back to the other like they think they're king of the road, not king of the jungle in this scenario. Sad thing is, they don't think of the consequences i.e car being badly smashed up, or people even killed or seriously injured. Well, I guess I can't really blame them since they must be under pressure to rush to somewhere to earn the extra dough or to simply please their customers/boss or whatever. Tis a sad sad case. I still think they need to honestly chill and take it slower tough. Crazy drivers, motorists and pedestrians!! urgh. Trust me, even pedestrians are no exception. This lady talkin on her cell phone, not even turning to her right to see if a car is comin by her way, decides to walk across the road when the red man appeared. I was driving and I was this close to knocking her down. (I wished I could show you the approximate distance measured with my fingers. haha) But yeah. I tooted my horn. Wished I held on to it longer though cuz she obviously didn't really care with my soft, gentle and friendly sorta tooting of the horn. hahaha. I'm too nice now, aren't i?! haha. Sigh. Today was a pretty good day. Cloudy and chilly but it's all good. After spending like approx. 2 hours driving to the city and finding a carpark lot in unsw, I finally managed to see Ryan's room. haha. Pretty cool. Reminds me of those church or school camps I go to. haha. Don't know why. And man, his room is filled with like postcards and other stuff he designed all on the wall. pretty impressive. Then, on to lunch. And finally, last stop... shopping! haha. OF COURSE! And yes, I've spent yet another 90 bucks on a jacket and 3/4 jeans. Sigh. But I was a happy girl. hee. Funny quote of the day: "Ling Ling! You've forgot your bling bling!!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! oh my goodness. classic. Love the movie, Hot Chicks. Gooooodnight for now! ahhhh.... what a day in the city.
Back Once Again (Part 2)
I realised somethin. I realised that I actually talked heaps bout Terrigal but forgot to mention the main reason behind the title of my entry: Back Once Again! hahaha. I'm such a dork. But I guess you guys can figure it all out anyway. Back from Terrigal. Back to domesticated lena. Booooooo. Talkin bout that... I had to wash the toilet today again. URGH. And that includes scrubing the toilet bowl too! Nooooo... But I guess it's all good to be doin some household chores rather than lazing away watchin tv all day long. At least I feel I've accomplished somethin constructive. haha! Oh! and laundry. Sigh. I told myself I'll do it today rain or shine. It was raining... and my excuse was it's too cold and dark to do laundry. So that mission failed. Not good. PLUS! I'm going out again tomorrow to the city to meet up with Ryan cuz he's goin back in less that a week. How sad. :( No more sunday lunches! So I guess since I'm on holidays, might as well drive down and meet up for abit. So that would mean I can't do my laundry again tomorrow. Guess I could always do it in the night, yeah? Hmmmm. I sound domesticated, don't I? Even Kevin agrees to that. haha. This IS what happens when my parents aren't around!!! I guess taking on an extra load of responsibility is good for me. It's about time I learnt to be independent and I'm proud to say I'm still coping well for the time being! haha. ANYWAYSSSS...... I desperately want to post pictures taken from Terrigal. But they're sooo many of em and I'm too lazy to upload it all. haha. I know I know. Gimme a few more days and it'll be done... I'm sure.... yeahh... OH OH OH! If you are curious to know about the adventures from Terrigal, there is a brief summary in www.kimmmi.blogspot.com All thanks to kim! I admire you for attempting to blog down stuff that happened each day! You rawk! haha. Ok, I shall exit here now but you don't exit here! Hop on to her blog and have a read! It's cool! haha.
Back once again
Mannnnn! 5 days and 4 nights at Terrigal was SO not enough for me. I wished I could have stayed longer... oh well. Actually, come to think about it, the 7 of us didn't do any interesting stuff. It was basically the same routine everyday. Wake up almost noon time, go to beach for a tan for couple of hours, head back to cook lunch, have lunch, watch some dvds or tv shows, shower, prepare for dinner, have dinner, watch more dvds and sleep.
BUT! Kim and I managed to amuse ourselves. As Kim said, "I think someone spiked our drinks." And I totally agree cuz we screamed and laughed so hard at the slightest things. It definitely toned up our muscles cuz our stomachs hurt so much everytime we laughed. ahhh.. full on hard core laughin dude! haha. The guys have pretty much given up hope on making us sane again.
Oh and can I say... I'm so glad that Jono and Theo are pretty good at cooking because the rest of us (4 girls and a guy) were pretty lost when it came to that. So Theo cooked breakfast every morning, Geoff and/ or Jono would prepare like most meals. Kim did help out a fair bit in preparing the food but I did like none! ha. Expected.
Random moments at Terrigal that I can think of for now...
1) Theo touches the ceiling fan that was spinning pretty fast with his hand. Kim and I screamed so loud. He finds it amusing. Does his infamous evil laughter and does it again. And we screamed yet again.
2) Theo: "I don't like gangsters."
Kim: "What is your definition of a gangster?"
Theo: "They usually wear black and white clothes and their pants are usually made of micro- fibre."
Oh mannnnnn.... I'm too lazy to tell more. haha. It's just too many to type it all out. Plus, I'm well-renowned for havin short-term memory. So yeahhh..If you really want to know more, gimeme a ring. hahaha. I'm so tired! I had 2 hours of sleep on the last night at terrigal cuz we wanted to watch the sunrise at 5am. It was beautiful. The long walk on the beach (it was quite long to me. haha) with nice waves and pretty magnificent sky at 5 in the morning was awesome!
oh. And I've got the sik-est tan that I haven't had in like years. Now, I'm officially brown except the part where my bikini was on. hahaahah! I should have just taken off my bikini then I could have had a full tan. haha. Nah... jk! :)
