Pictures of the day
So! The assessments are building up (and so is the stress level) and the same ol' routine is kicking back in! My daily intake of coffee in the early arvos! Now, the only dilemma I'm facing is if I should get a hot or cold coffee especially with the hot-cold weather that's gettin me all confuzzled. haha. And usually, when I take a sip of my hot coffee, I wished I had a cold one cuz I was feeling way too warm and vice versa. Oh golly.Anyhow... I got SO SO sick of doing the most dreadful assessment thus far- sociology critical review(OUCH!! I know.. u feel my pain? As if u would! pfft. Who in the right mind would choose to do sociology as their elective?! haha) and thinking SO hard about how on earth I'm gona prepare myself for the chinese test this friday (I do not wish to go into further detail cuz it's all too depressing) Therefore, here are a couple of pics that I caught a glimpse of that brought back funny memories not too long ago and quite sometime ago.
The drool pillow encounter. I laughed so hard til I cried and my poor tummy had to endure so much...

I miss my Year 10 Geography class- The hiding of the teacher's briefcase, the guys hiding in the cupboard, jumping out of the window during fire drills, disrupting the opposite classroom's lesson, standing on the table and doing a solo song, and how can I ever forget the classic face expressions on our dear Mr Moulton's face whenever any of the above mentioned took place. That was the best school year I've ever had! And yes, I actually looked forward to each day at school.
As I ponder upon the couple of years that I've been through here in Sydney, I can't help but give thanks to the Lord with such a grateful heart for how much He has blessed me. He's carried me through the times when I felt like nothin is working out right. And through it all, I've emerged as a woman (ok, young woman. woman makes me sound like I'm 50. haha) of greater faith who's learnt how to rely on Him so much more (More of You, less of me). And I still do struggle from time to time. But I'm still learning and growing spiritually. The power of prayer with faith. Never underestimate it.

fondued-out!
oh myyy.. I can't believe I typed out the longest post I've ever done but I accidentally pressed the delete button! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! WHYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! URGHHHHHHH!!!!Ok.. well let's have main points then.
- Today, like any other day, was no doubt another beautiful day God has created!
- ALTHOUGH I had to sit through 2 hrs of developmental psychology (like i really care about the development of a kid and their motorsensories. WHAT HAPPENED TO ORGANISATIONAL PSYCH??!! I want it NOW! hee)
- I felt pretty agitated having to wait half an hour just to put petrol into the car. (well, I sorta dug a hole for myself by being annoying and fight with others to do this during peak hour)
- and my nail polish got chipped while unscrewing the cap! I know, what a major whinge! but its wrecked! booo... Now I wish I had the service they gave drivers at petrol stations in Singapore.
- BUT!! The day ended beautifully with chocolate fondue and bible study with the hillsong gurlies!
- Something randomly hillarious happened. Question: What is your hobby? Emily: I like (insert everything gurlies normally enjoy doing e.g shopping.haha) and I love politics too! *giggles* I'm such a nerd!Maria: Well, I'm totally for human rights. That's one area I'm passionate about. Shirley: Huh? Wait a second.. that's not a hobby!
- Our group is multicultural. Girls include bible college student from Uk, Norway, Ukraine and the rest are from Australia. And yes, I'm the only asian. haha
- I'm so glad that I can be a part of it all- from sharing in-depth discussions about God and the bible to sharing about our lives in general, praying fervently for each other and of course, the crazy girlie hugs!
- At the end of tonight, we were chocolate fondued-out! We felt so sick of chocolate (And I'm not a big fan of chocolates to start off with..which made it worse for me). Our tummies made us look like we were 3 months pregnant! If only I had pictures to show as evidence cuz I'm being serious here. No kidding!
Ok! I'm outa here! Gota wake up at 7am and join in the peak hour traffic fun-ness!!!! FUN FUN FUNNNNNN!!!!
His mercies are new everyday...

Whinger!
I've come to a conclusion after having to painfully read through only 2 weeks worth of required reading from the sociology course reader. SOCIOLOGISTS ARE THE ALL-TIME WHINGERS!!!!!!! (I thought I was a bad enough whinger!)I actually fell asleep for 45mins after reading through a quarter of their insignificant whinging. In a way, it's pretty hillarious and intriguing to see that they have SO much time on hand to bother to pick out the tiniest/most minor(is there such thing as most minor?haha) mundane stuff and analyse it and whinge about it in a kazillion ways!
Come.. Let me give you guys an example. This David Inglis dude had been going on about the money mentality for 5 HUGE paragraphs (and fyi, this is one-twentieth? of his whole whinge analysis). In his opinion, he felt that the expression of saying 'have a nice day' at the end of a commercial transaction sometimes feel insincere. Honestly, that thought has never come across my mind. Yeahh, when u think bout it, what he said did make sense but why put SO much thought and fuss into that??!!!
It is true that the whole transaction does come across as an impersonal relationship and knowing that the interaction is most probably being forced upon by the server by the rules he/she had to follow. Hence, it makes it all look so insincere. But the first thing that came to my mind was shouldn't anyone be contented merely by a simple 'hi, how are you' or even a smile by the server? Although that gesture might be insincere, they took the effort to say something! I reckon that alone, would make my day. Who are we to judge if they were being insincere? They could've really meant what they were saying (Fine, maybe I'm a lil optimistic.hee.). Just hearing something nice is good enough for me, thanks! Well... at least it beats seeing them all grumpy and saying nothing at all isn't it??!!!
And yes, I do acknowledge that those expressions may come across as insincere according to the Inglis dude but I wouldn't think about it twice. Why dig yourself such a big depressing hole and crawl through the darkness (oh my..what a weird analogy!haha)... when you could just walk on grass and be jolly! hahahaha... OKKK I'm gona stop right here. I can imagine the most confuzzling face expressions of anyone who bothered to read up to this point. hee hee.
Random thought 1: I should just copy and paste what I just mentioned all of above for my critical review assignment that's due in 2 weeks!! Bet that would give me a HD without a doubt! ahahahaha!!! I WISH... I realised my sociology group mates are taking things too seriously. They need to chill! haha. I remembered the convo along the lines of, "Yeah, do the social and political aspects of the article too. That would give u a good standing of a D-HD." At that point, I was thinking hmmm.. I just wana pass this stupid assignment. hahahah WHY AM I SO LAID-BACK??!! Someone kick me!!!
Random thought 2: As much as I'm quite a bit of a whinger and I MIGHT just fit the list of being a sociologist, I will not be one! You know why??!! Cuz I realised that when u fill in surveys and u come to the part where they ask u to circle the occupational category... YOU WILL NEVER FIND 'SOCIOLOGIST' BEING LISTED THERE!! haha.

Last on the list
So!!!! I'm officially the last cousin that is single as of yesterday! WooooTT! And now, my mum's expecting me to get married in 3yrs time. That's all the time she's giving me! haha. Bet its because she knows she's not getting any younger and she wana look good in my wedding photos or somethin! haaaa!!! Anyways, it was lovely to be able to witness my cousin's wedding. He looked hot! And so did his wife! hee hee. So here goes the pics!
My gorgeous nephew and nieces!!
The posing fiesta begins with my all-time favourite cousin and her fine lookin husband, the pretty niece who was the flowergirl and funky mum! And how hot are my cousin's shoes?! However, hot shoes come with high cost! haha.
A quarter of the family members.... actually, make it one-eighth! haha.

emotions takin overrr
When I thought that my last week of hols would be wasted doing NOTHING but just bummin around at home, I managed to catch up with some of the girls during the later part of that week. First, caught up with Mia for coffee. had a great time getting to know her better and we just talked bout EVERYTHINGgg! It's pretty amazing that we got on just so well, considering I met this awesome hillsong leader only bout a month or so ago. haha. She's hillarious!...towards the end of our convo, she said, "You're so blonde, lena!" and I replied, "No, You're more blonde! You tried to pull that door open when there's a huge 'push' sign hanging on the door!" Oh golly.Then.. saturday came and I got to catch up with some of wcc girls at joan's house! woot! Joan, yr dog is cool. really. haha. But he spoilt my moment when I was trying to release all my excitement by screaming when I saw donica. As a result, I had to hold back a little while yr dog went psycho! haha boo... Nonetheless, it was a nice night. :)
Thanks anglea for the navigations! haha what would I do without u!! And.. the photo frenzyyyyy begins...

And yes, Angela and I decided to stop over at maccas for late-night supper. I think the mcnuggets had some ingredient in it that caused us to go on an all-time high from taking one picture... to another... to TONS of others!!

However, the weekend sorta ended on a bad note. (The last good thing was hanging out with the girls on saturday). It was a pretty emotional one for me, I must say. And as if that wasn't enuff! Try starting semester 2 of uni on monday with nothing going right with the friggen uni adminstration stuff bugging me too. Sigh. bad days. bad week. But at least I'm feeling slightly better now. Time heals.
